„Like me like that“, „We don´t talk“ und „Nothing else I can do“ sind tolle rhythmische Songs.

English:

With „Road To Heaven“ Alliance release their third studio album on the market. Behind the bandname appear brilliant musicians as singer Robert Berry (Hush/ GTR/Ambrosia), guitarist Gary Phil (Boston/Sammy Hagar), drummer David Lauser (Sammy Hagar) and keyboarder Alan Fitzgerald (Nightranger). To such a melodic rock quartet is the term “supergroup” really not wrong. On their current album all four give impressively proof again what absolute experts they are. After the two predecessors and genre classics "Alliance" (1997) and "Missing Piece" (1999) it was quiet around the band till 2006. Now they are back with “Road to Heaven” and like on the two albums before can we get at first place finest AOR melodic rock here again. Here counts the same very melodious and easy rock tones which we gets to hear at all songs on the plate throughout. Also after various runs, unfortunately, so really good hammer songs do not appear, however. The same title song and opener “Road to Heaven” rock very fast and easy to remember the text and rhythm. “I Can Breathe” is also as “Broken Glass”, “Walkin´ Away” and “Remember those days” very half slow and soft songs, but still very melodious. The only much more softer ballad is “Make A Stand”. “Like me like that”, “We don´t talk” and “Nothing else I can do” are great rhythmical songs. Very easy to remember, encouraging to sing with and get stuck in the ear, too. The other songs are pure fellow travellers in the rock-/pop area. Who like albums from Bad English, Hush, Nightranger or Kingdom Come don´t do anything wrong to buy this album. Who has never known something of Alliance before can get now the two unavailable first albums, appeared due to the high demand in 2007 under the name “Destination Known” as Digipack, from Escape Music in the meanwhile.
